As a freelance solicitor, Clare is subject to the SRA’s Standards and Regulations a copy of which is available on the SRA’s website.
Clare is not required to maintain professional indemnity insurance but is happy to discuss how her services are insured and other details about how her services are provided, including how confidential client data and personal data will be protected, when agreeing terms of engagement with clients. Services and fraud warning
Clare Richardson agrees a contract for services with clients, having met those clients in person, before providing any services. The contract contains limitations of liability.
Clare does not provide any financial services or conduct reserved legal activities. This means that Clare does not administer estates or wills or conduct conveyancing.
Clare will not ask you, or anyone else, to transfer money to a client account or hold money on your behalf. If any person contacts you asking you to send Clare money, this is a scam. In particular, please be alert to any request to send money, including an advanced fee, to anyone in relation to an abandoned investment or to release an inheritance. Any request of this type is likely to come from a fraudster.
Clare will only send invoices for services directly to her client. The invoice will contain payment details. If you receive any other correspondence asking you to alter those payment details, this will be from a fraudster.
